Congratulations to Fr Richard on the 25th Anniversary
of his ordination to the Priesthood.

Our Parish Priest, Fr Richard, celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood
with a Mass in the church on Saturday, 6th June'09 at 6pm. Bishop Walsh was the main celebrant.
Eight of Fr Richard's classmates were in attendance at the Mass. Scroll to end of page to see some photos.

The photo taken after the ordination ceremony held at Holy Cross College, Clonliffe Road,
Dublin on 8th June 1984. The ceremony was performed by The Most Rev. Dermot Ryan, Archbishop of
Dublin. On this day Richard Behan (from the parish of Knocklyon) and Aquinas Duffy (from the
parish of Sallynoggin, Co. Dublin) were ordained for the diocese of Dublin. It was the last
ordination by Archbishop Dermot Ryan before his departure to Rome where he died three
months later.

Fr Richard succeeded Canon Battelle as Parish Priest in Ballinteer on 16 July 2006. He has since been appointed Vicor Forane of the Donnybrook Deanery and Moderator of the Pastoral Area of Ballinteer, Meadowbrook and Dundrum.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have him here with us. I am sure he would appreciate it if you remember him in your prayers and if you see him around the Church or in the neighborhood wish him a very happy 25th Anniversary.
