You may have noticed the completion of the Calvary Scene at the front of our Church.
Despite long delays due to weather and sourcing wood for the crucifix, it is now finished
and dedicated to the memory of Fr. James O’Sullivan, from whose bequest it has been financed.
The Calvary Scene was blessed and dedicated to Fr O'Sullivan after 10 a.m. Mass on Tuesday 19th April
2011 by Canon Battelle.
Fr Richard Behan also spoke warmly about Fr Jim's life. Members of Fr. O’Sullivan’s
family and friends attended the ceremony.
Thanks to Bernard Mulligan, a local stonemason whose skill and craftsmanship has yet again
provided us with very beautiful granite setting for our new Calvary Scene.
Fr Jim O'Sullivan died peacefully at 11pm on Friday 17th April 2009 at Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock.
