BALLINTEER CELL COMMUNITY
THE EXPERIENCE
Ballinteer Cell Community is a community
of small faith groups which strive to support
· To grow in intimacy with the Lord
· To grow in love of one another
· To share Jesus with others
· To minister in the Body of Christ
· To give and receive support
· To raise up new leaders
· To deepen our Catholic identity
Groups can vary in size from four to fourteen, at which point the group divides (multiplies ) into two groups.
Each group is cared for by a leader who facilitates each meeting and encourages the members to participate in the work of evangelisation.
The cell groups in Ballinteer meet every two weeks - usually in the home of the cell group leader.
The structure of a cell meeting is :
· Singing and Prayer
· Sharing experiences, thoughts and ideas
· Reading a Scripture passage and reflection
· Listening to a taped teaching prepared by the Parish Priest. (Followed by a short discussion)
· Intercessory Prayer
· Cuppa and chat
There is a strong social element to the community - every six weeks the entire community meets for community event.
