There are a number of particular Church Services & Life Events which centre on the Parish.

Baptisms

We now have a Baptism Team who organise Baptism in our Parish. All our Baptisms will now take place on the 1st and last Sundays of each month, with a Preparation Meeting beforehand. The Preparation Meeting takes place for one hour and usually during the last week of the month prior to the Baptism. (Dates for the Preparation Meeting and Baptisms are to be found on the Baptism Application forms). Forms are available for booking Baptisms and Preparation Meetings at the Sacristy or the Parish Office. One month’s notice is required for Baptisms. Baptisms take place after the Sunday 12 o'clock Mass.

Baptism Certificates are issued in the Parish Office between 10am to 12 noon Monday to Friday.

First Communion

The children will receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday 26th May, 2012. The children's First Confessions are heard approximately one week beforehand.

First Communions are usually organised through the child's school at the age of about 8 when they are in 2nd class.

Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation took place on Saturday 28th April, 2012.
As with First Communion, Confirmation is usually organised through the child's school.

Marriage

There are numerous regulations, both Church and State, to be complied with in arranging a wedding. In the first instance you should talk to Fr Richard Behan, Moderator, Tel: 4944448. Minimum of three (3) months notice is required. Six (6) months notice is required if either party is under 18 years old. Funerals

The priests of the parish will assist with the arrangements for the funeral service, please contact the priest on duty or call to the Sacristy after Mass. Most of the details regarding the burial etc can be made by the undertaker.

Bereavement Support Group

1st and 3rd Monday of each Month from 2.00pm - 3.00pm.     2nd and 4th Wednesday of each Month from 7.00pm - 8.00pm in Conference Room.     Further details from the Parish Office Tel 4994203

Sacrament of the Sick

This sacrament can be received at any time by someone who is seriously ill. Please contact any of the priests of the parish to make arrangements.

Mass for Special Intention

If you wish to have a Mass celebrated for a special intention, you should contact one of the priests. If you require the mass to be said on a specific date or time, you should give as much notice as possible.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Confessions: ON SATURDAYS: After 10.00am Mass and after 6.00pm Vigil Mass.

 
Devotions

Eucharistic Adoration. Wednesday & Thursday 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Thursday & Friday 10.30 a.m. to 10pm.

The Perpetual Novena in honour of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will be held
in the Oratory on each Monday at 7.30pm..

St. Padre Pio Monthly Mass: Second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m.Mass.
Blessing with his relic will be given after Mass

 
Legion of Mary

'Queen of the Most Holy Rosary' Praesidium, Ballinteer.   Meetings every Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Conference Room.   Come as a guest to a Legion of Mary meeting!   There's no obligation!

  Parish Cells

The Parish Cell Communitity is an open forum where all are welcomed.   The Parish Cell Groups meet on Wednesday's at homes in Pine Valley, Broadford, Woodpark and Old Ballinteer. Meetings start at 8.30pm, last about 90 minutes and are open to all parishioners.   You are very welcome to come along to a Cell meeting.  Click Here for mor details on the Parish cells.
